Conor Lien { Senior }

Happy Friday, I trust everyone is gearing up for a beautiful spring weekend. Even though my plans this weekend are going to be designated to yard work, golf is not far from my mind. Which brings me to the purpose of this post...

Hillsboro Chamber Business Forum

It was a pleasure to attend the Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce Business Forum today at the Glenn & Viola Walters Cultural Art Center. The topic today was "Meet Your New Mayor", Jerry Willey. In January, Jerry became the 49th Mayor for the City of Hillsboro.

The information was very informative and encouraging about the current and future plans for the city of Hillsboro. Hillsboro is not only fortunate to have world class technology companies but also a strong small business community. Jerry talked about the city's current fiscal responsibilities and shared how the city is still on task for future plans. Thank you Jerry for your insights and commitment to Hillsboro.

The Shafer { Family }

As we transition into spring weather, we are also transitioning from {Seniors} to {Familes} for posting. One of the bonuses of having your {Senior} portraits created @ MIT Studio is the Complimentary Family Session. Today we showcase the Shafer Family. Jessica of Hilhi was one of our {Seniors} from 2008. Amy, Mike and Brother Eric joined Jessica for images created @ MIT and @ Dawson Creek late last year. Oregon Coast 2009

A friend and fellow photographer Bry Cox from Utah, came to Oregon on assignment and I tagged along on a trip down Hwy 101. The following are a sample of images created with a specific lens called a "lensbaby". The effect as you can see creates images with very selective focus, which can be a hit or miss but these are winners in my opinion. It was a great time just to get out and create, I need to do this more often, our coastline is amazing. Cheers and Enjoy!

Michael Callaway { Senior }

Happy Friday, I'm thrilled to showcase the senior portraits of Michael Callaway. Michael's session was photographed @ MIT Studio and @ "The Spot". You may be asking what is @ "The Spot"? For months I drove by this area and kept thinking... that would be a great backdrop for portraits, but it never materialized. I guess it was just waiting for the right session, then came along Michael and "The Spot" was perfect. Thanks Michael for incorporating your style into the session, and allowing me to showcase your portraits and "The Spot" Cheers!

Can you believe January is almost over...WOW. If your a follower of the blog you have been up to date with our Senior Showcases and today we bring you another. Everyone welcome Drew Van Roekel! Drew's images were created @ MIT Studio, @ Dawson Creek and @ the "MIT secret field".



We have enjoyed working with the Van Roekel family over the years, we photographed Nathan in 2007 and are looking forward to Logan's session when he graduates in 2012.

Allyson / James { Senior }

2 for 1 Senior Showcase. Today is the showcase of Allyson Harer and James Burnham from Hilhi. We had the chance to photograph at James grandparents property and then at MIT. The property was amazing with a barn, trucks, fields and a pond. Believe me we could have photographed there for days and not run out of fresh places. Enjoy the showcase, cheers!
