I've been TAGGED - { Twice }
Ok, I have been tagged and I choose not to bore everyone with my 10 random facts about my self the first time but I guess hiding didn't work so well, so here goes.
Also here is a picture of Kimberly and I at a recent wedding taken with my Point and Shoot in Self-Portrait mode.

10 Random / Not So Random Facts About Me:
1. I enjoy Golf, not that I have been playing that much lately. My last OGA/USGA handicap has me at a 6.
2. Yes, I will get an iPhone 3G on July 11th.
3. I went to South Africa in Jan / Feb 2008 and can't wait to go back in 2009.
See my blog from 2008 Memory Books From Home.
4. I can't swim... well sort of... it's the treading water part that has me challenged.
5. I originally went to college with the aspirations of becoming a Lawyer or an architect. I found both didn't feed my creative side.
6. I work each year with RFKC "Royal Family Kids Camps" it's a camp focused on helping abused, neglected and abandoned children. RFKC WEBSITE
7. I watch the History and Discovery Channel more than any other... even more than The Golf Channel and ESPN.
8. Most of my clothes are from Banana Republic and REI. Boring fact but true.
9. I'm into organization and lists. I'm the type that makes lists to track my lists. A good blog to watch is Unclutter
10. I want to learn Italian, some think our family is Italian but really we are German and Scots-Irish.
Thanks for reading, enjoy and chat with you all soon!

Klive gets a bath! Happy Friday
Hello everyone and Happy Friday. Just a fun post today. From time to time Klive's publicity agent reminds me it's been awhile since his client has been posted on the blog. I'm sure you understand how important "face time" is for these "stars" and how there adoring public demands updates. Well here you go a behind the scenes look!

Happy Friday and have a wonderful weekend! Oh, and don't forget to give your dog a bath, if they are like Klive they LOVE it.

Bryan's Birthday! { March 29th }
I wanted to share a few pictures that are some of my favorites of me when I was younger. If your like me as we approach our birthdays we get more and more sentimental. It's amazing to think these pictures were taken for "mom and dad" to enjoy but now it's actually "me" that appreciates them. We don't really see ourselves grow... it just happens. We can only imagine what we were like as a 2 year old... of course I was a very good 2 year old.

Creating these memories for all of our clients at MIT is one of the best things about our profession, that one day the kids we have photographed will look at an image and imagine themselves as that little kid who just wanted to play!

Humanitarian Trip to South Africa { Bryan }
Now that 2008 is upon us my trip to South Africa draws near. I will be leaving PDX to assist an organization called "Memory Books from Home" as they visit orphanages, schools, hospitals in and around Durban, South Africa.
The trip will be from Jan 31 through Feb 14th. Durban will be our home base as we travel north to the Richards Bay area and also spend time NW of Durbin (Richmond, Cato Ridge, and Mempelo.)
I can not begin to express my excitement and feelings as this trip unfolds. I will post more details and thoughts over the next few weeks. I believe we have Internet access at the house we are staying and if possible I will post updates to the mit blog.
More later, see map below for locations.

Professional Photographers of Nebraska
This past weekend I had the pleasure of being a Keynote speaker at the Professional Photographers of Nebraska Fall Conference in Grand Island. I was able to share about Moments In Time Photography, what we do, and communicate the message of "Giving Back" and what a wonderful profession photography is.
I was treated fantastic and made many new friends. Thank you NEBRASKA! I hope to visit again. Cheers.
On Sunday night "Fun Night" teams of 2 raced across the pool in cardboard boats and below is the video of the winning team with a time of 31 seconds. Not all were as successful as this dynamic duo. To see more images visit Melenbacker Photography

Labor Day R+R
I trust everyone had a chance to enjoy some rest during this past Labor Day weekend. Kimberly, Klive and I got away to the "Cove Palisades" in eastern Oregon for a few days of rest. In fact it was part of her families annual camp out and I had the chance to hang out with about 70+ of her relatives.
Enjoy the images and the last few days of summer!

The Fray - Edgefield Concert
Last night Kimberly and I went to see "The Fray" perform at the McMenamins Edgefield. The Fray put on a good show, weather was excellent and we actually had a perfect spot to watch the concert from. Enjoy a few shots taken with my "point and shoot".

Camera settings: ISO 800 / -1 exposure compensation / Flash off
Enjoy and have a great summer!

Hello Everyone!
As I start getting current with my updates I want to share a few images from a recent trip to Victoria.
Victoria is one of my absolute favorite places to visit. You truly feel like you have gone away... Needing to use a Passport just makes it that much more special.
Enjoy the images and if you would like to see more CLICK HERE for a gallery of 31 more images.
If your looking to get away... go to Victoria for a few days, trust me!

Tulip Fest - Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm
Spring? Well it's almost here, should we enjoy the RAIN? YES, that's exactly what the plan became this past Saturday. Kimberly and I went to the Tulip Fest at the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm in Woodburn.
Click here to visit the WEBSITE
We tried to wait out the rain at the Woodburn Outlet stores but it became evident it wasn't going to let up so off we went. Next year hopefully the weather will cooperate better but we had a great time and almost had the place to ourselves. ENJOY!!!!

Bryan's Birthday
I celebrated my birthday yesterday with my girlfriend Kimberly. The weather was perfect, and Kimberly's only request was that we have FUN. First off we went to lunch at one of my favorite spots Helvetia Tavern. They have, in my opinion, the best fries and hamburgers you will find anywhere.

Next we were off to Cannon Beach / Seaside for relaxation and dinner. The drive was great, being spring break we expected more traffic but we cruised right along. As always my first stop at Cannon Beach is Bella-Espresso. Bella-Espresso also has a location at Streets of Tansbourn by REI. We talked to Bella owner, James Fauentino, and he shared the news that another Bella will be opening in Portland by the Portland Aerial Tram.

We celebrated with cheesecake from, The Cheese Cake Factory, on the beach and then took a relaxing stroll. We then decided to head up to Seaside for dinner. We ended up going to Dooger's, seafood and grill. Dinner was wonderful and the drive home was a breeze.

Thank you Kimberly for making my birthday so enjoyable. Even though we just got away for 1 day it felt like a mini vacation.

Look to the right of this blog and you will see our RSS feed button where you can click and add us to your RSS READER of choice.
For more info and the process visit www.google.com/reader and believe me it will be a big time saver and great way to stay current with all your blogs.
