Oregon Coast 2009

A friend and fellow photographer Bry Cox from Utah, came to Oregon on assignment and I tagged along on a trip down Hwy 101. The following are a sample of images created with a specific lens called a "lensbaby". The effect as you can see creates images with very selective focus, which can be a hit or miss but these are winners in my opinion. It was a great time just to get out and create, I need to do this more often, our coastline is amazing. Cheers and Enjoy!

Also check out Bry Cox's blog to see more images from our trip. Especially the Lighthouse we "painted" with light in the dark.

Dallas Cowboys!

How bout them COWBOYS! Dad and I had the incredible opportunity to see our Dallas Cowboys play a game in historic Texas Stadium this past weekend. We have talked about going to a game in Texas for years and this past Sunday... WE DID IT. The stadium will make way for a new stadium next year, which will be a much needed upgrade but there is nothing like going to the place where all your Dallas Cowboys memories reside. Cheers and Enjoy!

Colorado Road Trip 2

Today we had a chance to see some of the things that are part of my childhood memories here in Loveland, Colorado.

I'll start with a story from a visit to see my grandma when I was around 5 years old. The railing I'm leaning on in the first image is especially important to me. I had a pole with string on the end and was pretending to fish over the side of the railing. However I could not see over the edge... so to see if I was catching "fish" I put my head through the rails and needless to say, I got stuck. My grandma said we should either call the fire department or cut my ears off, joking of course. I got a little scared and lets put it this way, I got myself out quick, but I will never forget that moment.

The house, in the first 2 images, is where my Aunt and Uncle live currently, it was built by my Grandpa and is the home where my Mom and 2 Aunts grew up. I have so many memories of this house and it is fantastic to see it again.

The other images are of "Loveland Lake", the "Sugar Factory", and a "Sculpture" in an incredible park with some of the most amazing bronze sculptures you will ever see.

Loveland, Colorado will always be a special place for me and I'm thrilled to have a chance to visit once again.

Tomorrow the trip continues to Moab, Utah and then back home. Look for more images from the trip next week. Cheers!

Crater Lake - { Vacation }

What do photographers do on vacation? In fact do we really take a vacation? Because by definition: {n 1: leisure time away from work; devoted to rest or pleasure} most photographers... photograph everything they see, on so called vacation. That's really the beauty of being a photographer though... our work is and can be a vacation. I think you get what I'm saying. Here is a preview from my recent vacation through Southern Oregon.

Cheers, and look for more relaxing vacation images to come when I get back to work!
